Borneo, a land of strong contrasts, welcomes you for an exciting journey full of excursions to discover breathtaking landscapes with a biodiversity capable of surprising. The island of Borneo, lying on spectacular seabeds and bathed by the turquoise sea, is a country with a thousand facets and offers its visitors sites of great naturalistic interest.

Your journey begins in Kuching, capital of the Malaysian state of Sarawak, a lively and cosmopolitan city full of examples of colonial-era architecture, modern areas and a charming promenade that along the Sarawak river leaves room for lively food vendors and small, characteristic shops of craftsmanship.

You will continue with a visit to Bako National Park, at the northern end of the Muara Tebas peninsula, which is home to a gigantic area of primary forest where it will be possible to immortalise the proboscis monkey, an endemic species of Borneo.

Emotions follow one another day after day with the close encounter with the orangutans lovingly protected in the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, an exciting cruise on the river among crocodiles, macaques and some rare sightings of Borneo pygmy elephants, an endangered species.

You will then fly to Kota Kinabalu where a guide awaits you for an interesting visit to the colorful night market where you will find trinkets and souvenirs in abundance, and an exquisite Malaysian dinner enriched by a lively cultural show of Sabah dances will complete the day.

But that is not all! Exciting excursions still await you in contact with the wonderful uncontaminated nature at the Kinabalu National Park and a river cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search of endemic fauna of Borneo or an adventurous trekking in the jungle at Lake Oxbow to admire and photograph many colorful species of birds.

Your emotional journey ends with a visit to the Rainforest Discovery Center, a natural park renowned for its educational function, where you will see gigantic flying squirrels at the top of the trees and you can explore green areas of great naturalistic interest.
