Travel Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Madagascar
You arrive in Antananarivo, a city alive with contrasts and smiles. As you step out of the airport, the air is filled with the scent of spices and red earth. A warm welcome awaits, along with your first taste of the slow and captivating rhythms of this distant land.

Day 2 – Toward the Colonial Elegance of Antsirabe
Leave the capital behind as you journey through the central highlands, with rolling green hills and landscapes dotted with rice paddies. A stop along the way introduces you to the heart of Malagasy craftsmanship. Antsirabe welcomes you with old-world charm, colonial houses, and zebu-drawn carriages.

Day 3 – Along the Artisan Route to the Ranomafana Jungle
Continue south through lively Ambositra, where skilled hands carve stories into wood. The journey leads into increasingly lush and wild landscapes until you reach the dense forest of Ranomafana, where nature surrounds you in its raw, untamed energy.

Day 4 – In the Rainforest, Among Lemurs and Mist
A path through ancient trees, giant ferns, and birdsong takes you deep into the national park. Life thrives here—curious lemurs peer at you from the branches, and the humid air whispers ancient tales. In the afternoon, Fianarantsoa greets you with its historic and poetic soul.

Day 5 – Markets, Reserves, and Your First Close-Up with Lemurs
Descending through hills and villages, you reach Ambalavao, a crossroads of tradition and craftsmanship. The Anja Reserve is a hidden gem—among sacred rocks and trees, the ring-tailed lemurs leap and gaze at you with lively curiosity. As the scenery shifts, vast savannahs and serene silence lead you toward Ranohira.

Day 6 – Trekking Through Canyons, Oases, and Hidden Pools
Isalo National Park is breathtaking. You’ll hike through dry canyons, discover unexpected waterfalls, and swim in crystal-clear natural pools. Each step reveals a new wonder; each view is like a living postcard. The day ends with one of the most stunning sunsets in Madagascar, igniting the ancient rocks in red hues.

Day 7 – From Red Earth to Turquoise Waters
Travel through the land of the Bara people, where savannahs meet authentic villages. In Tulear, the coast opens before you, and continuing on to Ifaty, you enter a new world of golden beaches, majestic baobabs, and nature that thrives in the dry climate. Reniala Reserve is an enchanted garden to explore slowly.

Day 8 – Sailing Toward the Peace of Anakao
A boat takes you across crystal-clear waters to Anakao, a gem of southern Madagascar. Upon arrival, everything slows down—time, thoughts, and the rush of life. Endless beaches, silence, and natural beauty embrace you in light and freedom.

Day 9 – The Dream Island: Nosy Ve
A small boat brings you to a postcard-perfect island. Nosy Ve is white sand, transparent water, and colorful fish dancing around you. After snorkeling, the return to Anakao is a gentle descent into relaxation, lulled by the sound of the waves.

Day 10 – Sweet Idleness, Malagasy Style
A day to listen to the sea, walk barefoot on the sand, or bask in the sun of the Indian Ocean. Anakao is the perfect place to forget time and reconnect with who you truly are.

Day 11 – The Journey Back to the Capital
Say goodbye to the sea with your eyes on the horizon. A boat takes you back to Tulear, from where you’ll fly once again to Antananarivo. You'll see the city with new eyes, enriched by all you've experienced.

Day 12 – Final Steps and New Beginnings
If time permits, you’ll explore the soul of Tana, among artisanal markets and colonial memories. Then, farewell. Madagascar is unforgettable—it enters your heart and stays.
