The journey begins from the enchanting Quito, a colonial city and famous cultural and artistic center of Ecuador, to end between sun and sea in the wonderful Galapagos archipelago where uncontaminated nature reigns supreme.
The visit to the city of Quito at 2850 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Andes, offers intense suggestions between breathtaking naturalistic views and ancient history. You will be admired by its historic centre, declared a UNESCO heritage site, which will transport you to an atmosphere of times gone by. A pleasant walk through the squares and streets of the city where the tradition of the colonial era is still alive, will be an opportunity to admire ancient architecture and buildings with strong references to the past, such as the Church of S. Francisco, among the oldest in the South America.
The journey continues towards Otavalo, north of the equator, a welcoming town known for its lively Saturday market which has been handed down from pre-Inca times, and Cotacachi, among lagoons, lakes and uncontaminated nature, where you can immortalize the scenic beauty of places that seem out of from time.
Once you arrive in Riobamba, in the heart of Ecuador, you will take an engaging guided excursion to the slopes of the Chimborazo Volcano, the highest peak in the Ecuadorian Andes. The city welcomes you between modernity and ancient popular customs still present among the inhabitants who still wear traditional clothes today.
The visit to the Cajas National Park will give you exciting moments among dense vegetation, lakes of glacial origin and green areas rich in biodiversity.
Your journey ends in the paradisiacal Galapagos Islands where you will spend the last four days visiting the islands amidst turquoise sea, wild nature, and the scenic presence of volcanoes. From the island of Santa Cruz you will discover the other smaller islands among local fauna and flora and sightings of flamingos and turtles.
At the end of this exciting tour you will leave for Italy with an incredible emotional baggage and many beautiful images to share!
