An enthralling guided tour in southern Madagascar, among breathtaking scenery and stops in the most beautiful naturalistic sites, from the forest to the sunny white sand beaches, passing through protected parks, reserves and typical African villages.
From Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, after checking into your hotel, your journey begins with a visit to the city and its iconic places such as the Rova palace, the royal tombs, and the heart-shaped lake Anosy, with its beautiful Jacaranda trees.
In the following days you will be able to admire the delightful town of Antsirabe with its thermal springs, among popular traditions and customs, with a stop at the covered market and in some ateliers where you can appreciate local craftsmanship.
The city of Ambositra will amaze you with its welcoming inhabitants, and Ranomafana, the starting point for venturing out to discover the National Park: the excursion will thrill you among the dense tropical forest and the many species of birds, butterflies, and lemurs that live in their natural habitat.
Arriving in Fianarantsoa, in the province of the same name, you will be greeted by traditional houses and a thriving wine culture, before reaching Ambalavao and a semidesert area at the foot of the Andringitra massif. Here you will come into contact with the rural and peasant reality of the Bara ethnic population.
Another “dive” into nature in the Anja Reserve, between a mountainous area and a wooded area full of caves, will be an opportunity to see small wild animals peeping out from one ravine to another.
But it's not over yet! Ranohira awaits you, between Savannah and great plains, before reaching the Isalo nature reserve, a fascinating naturalistic destination thanks to the presence of particular rock formations, canyons, and natural pools.
Two more stops before returning to Antananarivo: Tulear, on the southwest coast of the island, an oasis in the heart of a vast desert region, and Ifaty, between fine sand and the intense colors of the ocean.
