Orvieto is undoubtedly a fascinating city, and after walking through its streets and savouring the crisp air, you have to leap underground.
A free visit to the underground caves of Orvieto, accidentally discovered in the eighties. You will reach a depth of 20 meters, and it will seem like a real journey through time. On the lower level, you will discover the river bed, which houses the fossil of a petrified plant from 250,000 years ago.
The tour takes place alone, without a guide, so you are free to explore, and you will find the illustrative panels with the explanation and illustration of the site.
