Day 1 – Tokyo
Arrival at Narita or Haneda Airport. Meet-and-greet with English-speaking staff and transfer to the city by shared taxi service. Pocket Wi-Fi delivered at the hotel. Free time to get your first glimpse of Japan’s bustling capital.
Day 2 – Tokyo
Full-day guided tour of Tokyo using public transport: Hamarikyu Gardens, Asakusa with Nakamise-dōri and Sensoji Temple, Toshogu Shrine and Shinobazu Pond in Ueno, Meiji Jingu Shrine, and the famous Shibuya Crossing with the Hachiko statue.
Day 3 – Tokyo
Free day to explore the city on your own. Optional excursion: “Poetic & Hidden Tokyo.”
Day 4 – Tokyo / Kamakura / Tokyo
Full-day guided excursion to Kamakura: visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Kotoku-in Temple with the Great Buddha, and Hasedera Temple. Return to Tokyo.
Day 5 – Tokyo > Takayama
Transfer to the station and departure for Takayama by Shinkansen and Limited Express train (connection in Nagoya). Guided tour upon arrival: Takayama Jinya and the traditional district of Kami Sannomachi. Overnight in a ryokan with Japanese-style accommodation.
Day 6 – Takayama > Shirakawa-go > Kanazawa
Bus transfer to Shirakawa-go and guided visit of the picturesque village, famous for its traditional gassho-zukuri houses. Continue to Kanazawa for visits to the Samurai district with Nomura Samurai House and Kenrokuen Garden, one of the most beautiful gardens in Japan.
Day 7 – Kanazawa > Kyoto
Departure by train to Kyoto. Upon arrival, meet with English-speaking assistant and transfer to the hotel. Free time at leisure.
Day 8 – Kyoto
Full-day guided tour: Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion), Ryoanji Temple. In the afternoon, explore the Arashiyama district with Tenryuji Temple, the Bamboo Forest, and Togetsukyo Bridge.
Day 9 – Kyoto
Free day for individual visits or shopping. Optional excursion: Nara and Fushimi Inari Shrine with its endless vermilion torii gates.
Day 10 – Kyoto > Hiroshima > Miyajima
Departure with guide to Hiroshima and Miyajima by train and ferry. Visit the sacred Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island. Return to Hiroshima to visit the Peace Memorial Museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome.
Day 11 – Hiroshima > Himeji > Osaka
Travel by train to Osaka. On the way, we recommend stopping at Himeji to independently visit its UNESCO-listed castle, one of the best-preserved in Japan. Arrival in Osaka and free time.
Day 12 – Osaka > airport
Transfer by shared taxi service from the hotel to Osaka Kansai or Itami Airport for your departure flight.
