The journey begins in enchanting Quito, a fascinating colonial city and the cultural heart of Ecuador, and ends amid sun, sea, and unspoiled nature in the marvelous Galápagos archipelago, where wildlife reigns supreme.
Located at 2,850 meters in the heart of the Andes, Quito offers breathtaking views and a historic center declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking through its squares and narrow streets, one can admire splendid colonial architecture such as the Basilica del Voto Nacional, the Church of the Compañía de Jesús, and the evocative Church of San Francisco, one of the oldest in South America.
The journey continues to Otavalo, renowned for its lively handicraft market, one of the most famous in the continent. Along the way, you’ll visit typical villages such as Calderón and Cotacachi, surrounded by lakes and stunning Andean landscapes.
Crossing the spectacular Avenue of the Volcanoes, you reach Cotopaxi National Park, dominated by the imposing volcano of the same name, and then Riobamba, the starting point for exploring Sangay National Park and the Ozogoche Lagoons, nestled among mountains and wild nature.
The trip continues toward Cuenca, a colonial city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its majestic cathedral, bridges over the Tomebamba River, and a visit to the Museum and Factory of Panama Hats. Nearby, the mysterious ruins of Ingapirca tell the story of the Inca civilization.
From Guayaquil, you’ll fly to the extraordinary Galápagos Islands, a unique natural paradise. From Santa Cruz Island, you’ll explore the smaller islands of Plazas, Punta Carrión, Sullivan Bay, and Bartolomé, among volcanoes, golden sandy beaches, and a sea teeming with life. You’ll have the chance to observe giant tortoises, sea lions, iguanas, tropical birds, and the charming Galápagos penguins.
An intense and surprising journey between the Andes and the Ocean, where Ecuador’s nature and culture will gift you unforgettable emotions.
